Tajweed Theory
Text: IQRA 1-3
For every new Muslim, reciting the Quran is a profound act of worship. This foundational course, The Essence of Recitation: Master Tajweed Theory, is designed to empower new Shahadah and aspiring students of knowledge by providing the theoretical building blocks for beautiful and accurate Arabic recitation.
This course is essential for moving beyond basic Arabic letters and understanding how to pronounce the Quran in the manner revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
What You Will Learn:
We focus on the three pillars of correct recitation (Ahkam):
Makharij al-Huruf (Points of Articulation): Learn the exact exit points for every letter from the throat, tongue, and lips. This is the key to differentiating letters that sound similar.
Sifat al-Huruf (Characteristics of Letters): Master the permanent qualities of each letter (like strength, softness, whispering, or audibility), which ensure their distinct and correct sound.
Ahkam at-Tajweed (Rules of Recitation): Dive into the core theoretical rules, including:
Rules of the Noon Saakin and Tanween (Idgham, Izhar, Ikhfa, Iqlab).
Rules of the Meem Saakin.
Rules of Qalqalah (vibration).
Understanding different types of lengthened vowels (Mudud).
By focusing on Tajweed Theory (the Ahkam, Sifat, and Makharij), you gain a solid intellectual framework that will exponentially accelerate your ability to read the Quran accurately and beautifully, inshallah.
