Basirah Raheem
Shahadah Inc. is a creative educational NGO founded by Basirah also known as Basirah Raheem, the CFO of OPPYMCO. As a part of OPPYMCO's commitment to fostering global education and personal growth, Shahadah Sessions offers a unique space for individuals to explore and deepen their understanding of Islam. Aligned with OPPYMCO's mission, Shahadah Sessions integrates art, historical truth, and practical application to provide a comprehensive and engaging learning experience. By offering storytelling, workshops, Quran Khatams in English, and supportive spaces, the platform aims to empower new Muslims and create a global community of faith.
Basirah started Shahada Inc to connect with her community from her podcast, Young Black Muslimah, and address the need for one-on-one sessions with sisters interested in converting to Islam or learning more, calling them Shahaddah sessions. When sisters asked for community gatherings, Basirah saw this as a call to responsibility.
"Not having as many loving resources When I first became Muslim and not feeling welcomed right away in the Muslim community or feeling judged, I really wanted to create a brave space for converts to strengthen on the path with Allah and expand their hearts in sisterhood by storytelling, seeking, and connecting to the sacredness of tradition in Islam through service."

Lanitta Graham joins Shahadah Inc with lived experience as arecent convert to Islam. She encountered Shahadah sessions during her first year as a Muslimah. Those sessions served as guidance, inspiration, and a tool for personal growth. Servitude is a core personal value for Lanitta which aligns closely
with Shahadah Inc’s mission to support and serve new Muslims. Her emphasis on servitude and community care directly supports Shahadah Inc’s commitment to nurturing new Muslims.
Lanitta is here to help connect new Muslims with all that Shahadah Inc. has to offer. She serves as an informed point of contact for individuals interested in Shahadah Inc.’s mission,programs, and services along with the coordination of communal relations and outreach. She is positioned to both learn from and contribute to the Squad and the members of Shahadah, Inc,strengthening our capacity to offer support.
Secora Chambers
Secora Chambers is the Co-President and Head of Social Media Marketing for Shahada Sessions. She is in this role because of her background in marketing and business administration and her overall passion for service. She is also an artist, poet, and creative.
Secora plans to help our community blossom and share the beauty of Islam by strengthening and fostering meaningful connections.

Maya Muneer is the treasurer of Shahadah Inc. Supportive and Loving in equal measure, she brings fresh energy to our overall team. Maya turns insights into action, ensuring intnentions and stewardship aligns with impactful attention, and helps the organisation’s message goals are on the right track.
