Intentions to Remember
by Basirah Raheem
Listen close and let it flow,
Why we act and why we go!
Actions live by what we intend,
From beginning to the end!
Start with Bismillah and check your heart,
Asking why you choose to start.
Raise your hands up to the sky,
Rabbi zidnee i'lmaa softly cry
"My Lord, increase me in knowledge" pray,
Guiding you along the way!
We seek it not for worldly show,
To serve our Lord and help folks grow.
Watch out for Riyaa and Shirk, the flaw,
That breaks sincerity's pure law!
And Astaqeem stay firm, complete,
Until death finds us on our feet!
